'Maine Pyaar Kiya' became a cult success and a case study in the Indian film video and music cassette industry. Ultra continued to acquire rights to classic old and new films, building an enviable catalogue.

The company not only secured a strong foothold in the video and music trade but also ventured into groundbreaking technologies, such as introducing Film VCD technology and pioneering the encoding and authoring of VCD & MPEG technology in India.
